product description
Plectranthias inermis - Geometric Perchlet
Sample picture.
The Geometric Perchlet (Plectranthias inermis) is an interesting fish suitable for small tanks. While the name hints at the fact that they are closely related to Anthias, their behavior more closely mimics hawkfish - they stay close to the substrate where they wait for prey. As a predatory fish, Plectranthias should not be kept together with very small (nano) fish and invertebrates as they may be eaten. In general, feeding is not a problem, and the fish is quite resilient, too. Keeping pairs is possible - when two young fish are introduced to a tank at the same time, the dominant one will turn male.
