The Ricordea florida coral is a Caribbean mushroom anemone species, which is characterized by a large number of pearl-like pseudotentacles.
Ricordea florida, just like Ricordea yuma, is a survivor and forgives even beginner's mistakes, hardly any demands are made on the water parameters in the aquarium. The only thing to watch our for is that frags should be placed with caution in more shaded areas so they don't burn.
Like for its cousin Ricordea yuma, slightly colder temperatures below 25°C are also ok. Because of its slow growth - the animals divide only about 1 time a year - it is also suitable for nano tanks. Due to el Niño the populations in Florida where decimated a few years ago, so nowadays this corals mostly comes from Central and South America. Typical colors are green to bluish or orange, and sometimes also multicolored. In the orange Ricordea the tentacles at the edge are usually differently colored depending on which region the animal come from.
