product description
Amblyeleotris diagonalis with Alpheus bellulus - Diagonal Sh
Sample picture. Animals not shown to scale. You will receive one symbiose goby with snapping shrimp.
The Diagonal Shrimp Goby (Amblyeleotris diagonalis) shows thick, brown-black diagonal stripes on a light background - the intensity of the coloration varies, and they may be almost washed out in some cases. They prefer to live together with pistol shrimp in a shared burrow - natural partners are Alpheus bellulus, among others. Other fish are mainly ignored. When introducing the fish, the tank should be well covered as they have a tendency to jump when stressed.
The Tiger Pistol Shrimp (Alpheus bellulus) usually live together with symbiotic gobies. The symbiose pair will move into a shared burrow and is very interesting to watch. Especially in nano aquariums and other small tanks the behavior is very entertaining. This pistol shrimp grows to about 5 cm. Thanks to its wide natural range, it can be kept with all symbiose gobies, for example the Yellow prawn-goby (Cryptocentrus cinctus), the Hi Fin Red Banded Goby (Stonogobiops nematodes) or Amblyeleotris species (A. aurora, A. guttata, A. periophthalma, etc).
