product description
Amblyeleotris aurora with Alpheus bellulus - Shrimp Goby and
Sample picture. Animals not shown to scale. You will receive one symbiose goby with snapping shrimp.
This fairly easy to care for and peaceful Goby gets up to 11 cm in size and should be kept in tanks from 300 litres. Keeping them with a pistol shrimp, best an Alpheus randalli, as symbiosis partner is recommended. Frozen feed, live feed and flakes are well received.
The Tiger Pistol Shrimp (Alpheus bellulus) usually live together with symbiotic gobies. The symbiose pair will move into a shared burrow and is very interesting to watch. Especially in nano aquariums and other small tanks the behavior is very entertaining. This pistol shrimp grows to about 5 cm. Thanks to its wide natural range, it can be kept with all symbiose gobies, for example the Yellow prawn-goby (Cryptocentrus cinctus), the Hi Fin Red Banded Goby (Stonogobiops nematodes) or Amblyeleotris species (A. aurora, A. guttata, A. periophthalma, etc).
