The ION Director® can be paired independently or in conjunction with the KH Director®. The combination of IOND and KHD is perfectly coordinated. In conjunction with this, you can fully automate not only the regulation but also the dosage of the aquarium's most important water parameters. While KHD measures and regulates alkalinity, IOND covers other important parameters needed to maintain a healthy reef.
Reach the next level of automation of water testing with the ION Director (IOND). Through the use of ion-selective technology, the IOND automatically measures and controls the calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium and nitrate levels in saltwater aquariums. Gain a deeper understanding of your aquarium with the IOND. The ION Director can be used alone or together with a KH Director (KHD). Together, IOND and KHD are the perfect tools to monitor and control your water parameters in unprecedented form each parameter can be measured and automatically controlled. If one or more parameters are too low or too high, the IOND can automatically determine which adjustment of the connected metering pumps is required to obtain stable parameters.
A multi-ion sensor and no reagents: The continuous research and testing has enabled us to develop our own multi-ion sensor. No dedicated sensor per parameter plus reference electrode is needed, no single reagents are needed per parameter. Only one multi-ion sensor and low-cost reference fluids are needed.

Highest accuracy and precision: As with many things in this hobby, stability is the key. By using four dosing pump heads, the IOND can effectively perform measurements with laboratory accuracy and accuracy every time. How does the ION Director® work? The IOND was designed as an accessory device and requires either a GHL Doser 2 Standalone or a ProfiLux aquarium computer (3 or 4) with GHL Doser 2 Slave, see configurations below. To carry out the measurement, 4 pump heads are required. To achieve the highest possible measurement accuracy, each test is performed with a freshly calibrated sensor. Two pump heads are used to deliver the required reference liquids. After the automatic calibration, a sample of the aquarium water is pumped into the ION Director®. After the measurement, the sample water is pumped out again and collected for later disposal in a separate container.
