product description
Tridacna crocea Blue Sky
Sizes are estimates based on full clam incl. extended mantle. Slight deviations are possible.
Tridacna crocea is a popular giant clam for reef aquariums. After many years of good care, they may reach sizes of 20 cm. It should be placed on solid rock so it can protect its largy bysus opening. Their wildly patterned colors are caused by refraction, similar to a butterfly's wings, and they vary drastically with the angle of view. They look brightest when viewed from above.
