Reverse osmosis systems require various inserts such as activated carbon filters, replacement membranes and fine filter inserts and are available from Aqua Light, Aqua Medic and Eurofilter. The mechanical filter inserts differ in the flow rate (L/day) and are permanently available in the most important and most common variants.
Silica filters work with demineralization resin (ion exchange resin) and mixed-bed resins and are connected downstream of a reverse osmosis system in order to chemically remove even the last remaining impurities such as silicates and to produce ultrapure water. Particularly important because without a diatom plague threatens. Different container sizes of Aqua Light, Aquaforest, ATI, Nyos, or Oceamo are available as loose granules or in cartridge form.
With a TDS meter, the point in time when the filter medium is soiled or used up and has to be replaced is determined by measuring the conductance. Depending on the manufacturer and model, this status message can be sent automatically by SMS, push or email notification.
The range of accessories also includes booster pumps, dosing pumps for osmolators, automatic refill systems, TDS measuring devices and flushing valves.
