Large amounts of calcium and magnesium are required in the saltwater aquarium. Calcium pro instant is a ready-to-use calcium mix.
It can either be used to prepare a stock solution or added directly to the aquarium.
Prepare Balling stock solution: Put 54 g calcium per instant in a measuring cup and fill it up to 1000ml with osmosis water. The Balling stock solutions of carbonate, calcium, magnesium and mineral pro instant must be dosed separately in equal parts!
Prepare stock solution: Put 750g calcium pro instant in a measuring cup and fill up to 2000ml with osmosis water. This solution then contains 135,000 mg / liter calcium (Ca). Adding 7.4 ml of this stock solution increases the Ca content by approx. 10 mg per 100 liters of aquarium water. Dosage see table! Attention ! Dissolving causes high temperatures. Please use a suitable plastic container.
Dosing directly: 1 measuring spoon (approx. 6.5 g) increases the calcium content by approx. 24 mg / l per 100 liters of aquarium water. In the case of larger deviations, an increase should be made over several days. Pour directly into the filter basin in an area with good flow.
When using Calcium pro instant in the aquarium, the calcium content of the aquarium water should be checked regularly. This is ideally around 380-450mg / l
Application of the balling system with Grotech carbonate, calcium, mineral and magnesium pro instant. When used correctly, the Grotech Balling System covers the needs of your saltwater aquarium for the macro-elements carbonate, calcium and magnesium. The use of a calcium reactor can therefore be dispensed with. The Grotech Balling System, consisting of Grotech carbonate, calcium, mineral and magnesium pro instant, covers the complete need for carbonate hardness, as well as the macro elements calcium and magnesium of your saltwater aquarium when used correctly. These are withdrawn from the aquarium water by healthy coral growth and have to be constantly and permanently fed back into the water in the correct amount. Method: - Check your kH value over several days and determine the daily consumption of your aquarium. - Calculate the amount of carbonate to be dosed per instant balling solution. - We have provided you with a free calculator for this at https://www.calculator.Grotech.de. - Dose this amount over several days and check whether the addition is sufficient to keep the kH value in your reef aquarium stable. The desired kH value to be maintained should be between ° dkH 7 and ° dkH 9. - At the same time, the Balling solutions of calcium and mineral pro instant must be dosed in the same amount as the carbonate pro instant Balling solution. - If necessary, correct the amount to be dosed daily. As a rule, the consumption of carbonate, calcium and mineral per instant balling solution is the same. This means that the 3 solutions are to be dosed in equal parts as the calculated consumption amount of the kH solution. The dosage should ideally be distributed over the day in smaller portions. GROTECH dosing pumps are ideally suited for this. However, this should be checked from time to time and the quantities of the individual solutions adjusted if necessary. The Mineral pro instant Balling solution contains a high proportion of magnesium and normally covers the magnesium consumption in the aquarium. Should a magnesium deficit nevertheless be found, this can be compensated by increasing the addition of the Mineral pro instant Balling solution or a solution of the 4th component Magnesium pro instant can be prepared and dosed separately as required.
