This Haliclona species is a beautiful Blue Sponge that not only lives on Phyto- and Zooplankton, but also derives a lot of its energy from light through photosynthesis. It should get moderate to high flow and moderate to high lighting. It's best not to lift it above water, because it may be damaged by air remaining inside. It should be removed from the tank at the first sign of degeneration - like white patches - because it can set free massive amounts of Ammonia when it dies which can poison fish and other tankmates, especially in small tanks.
