Euphyllia paradivisa is a coral species belonging to the large polyp stony corals. Like many other Euphyllia it has now been reclassified as Fimbriaphyllia paraancora, but is still traded under the old name due to outdated CITES regulations. It grows branched like a small tree with several polyps, which have tentacles with hammer-shaped tips. The branches can be of different thickness and length depending on the origin. Maybe there are several cryptic species hiding under this name. The color spectrum is similar to Euphyllia (Fimbriaphyllia) ancora, green or purple, bicolor with purple tips and green stem, toxic green, possibly with speckles, or orange or yellow.
