The Maxspect Aeraqua Duo is a new generation skimmer with a design that offers several advantages and innovations:
Almost noiseless operation
The Aeraqua Duo skimmer is equipped with the well-known Maxspect Turbine Duo pump. This has two inputs and two outputs and works with sine wave technology. As a result, the operation of the skimmer is almost noiseless.
Two water inlets
The Aeraqua Duo from Maxspect has two water inlets that allow the skimmer to draw water from both sides. If one of the inlets is completely closed, the skimmer also sucks in water from the inside, which improves the water filtration for the aquarium.
Patented double needle wheel design
Each water inlet has two needle wheels, one of which is rotated and the other is static. This unique, patented design creates tiny, higher density bubbles that greatly improve the efficiency of the skimmer.
Controllable via the Syna-G app
You can control the skimmer via the Syna-G app on your smartphone or tablet (iOS and Android supported). The separately available ICV6 interface is required for this.
All-in-one
Thanks to several innovations, an elegance and sophistication has been achieved in the Aeraqua Dup. For example, the air silencer was hidden in the skimmer base plate, the air lines and the water level regulator were integrated into the skimmer body. With this function, the water level in the skimmer can be set easily and precisely.
Overflow protection
The Aeraqua Duo is equipped with an overflow sensor that detects the water level in the skimmer and issues a warning signal if necessary.
Quick-release fasteners and openings
The construction with quick-release fasteners and openings makes it possible to remove the collecting container very easily and quickly and to completely dismantle the skimmer for maintenance, cleaning and service.
Water inlets
The unique design of the Aeraqua Duo allows you to choose, depending on the number of animals in the aquarium, how the water should be sucked into the skimmer by turning the water inlets.
For an aquarium of approx. 400 to 750 L with a large animal population, it is recommended to open one water inlet to 80% and to close the other inlet completely in order to recirculate the water in the skimmer.
For an aquarium of approx. 750 to 1250 L with an average animal population, it is recommended to fully open one water inlet and to open the other by 30% to 50% in order to simultaneously pump and circulate the water in the skimmer.
For an aquarium of approx. 1250 to 1700 L, with a small animal population, it is recommended to open both water inlets completely.
However, the suggestions above are just general guidelines to help explain how to use the two water inlets. What is best for your aquarium will only be checked after careful observation and adjustment of the Aeraqua Duo.
