Balistoides conspicillum - Clown triggerfish

The Clown Triggerfish (Balistoides conspicillum) is considered as tricky, especially in the adaptation phase and is therefore reserved for experienced aquarists. However, it can be kept well once it’s settled. It gets up to 50 cm in size and therefore requires a large tank with at least 3500 liters. In addition, it can be aggressive towards conspecifics and other fish why it should be kept single and it also eats sea urchins. For feeding frozen or live food like shrimps is the best choice.
