Reef Zlements Micro Elements – Fluorine – 1 L
Fluorine is a trace element found in reefs worldwide at an average concentration of 1.3 mg/L. Fluorine’s primary function is to harden biominerals and therefore plays an important role in the calcification process of corals.
Fluorine also plays a role in regulating zooxanthellae, as it exhibits moderate tissue activity. As a result, careful dosing of fluorine can lead to clearer Acropora tissue and a significant increase in yellow and green fluorescence under actinic lighting.
Fluorine Zlement, in combination with a regular testing regimen, allows any aquarist to make adjustments to fluorine levels to ensure that the values in their aquarium water remain within the optimal range for their reef inhabitants.
10 ml of Fluorine Zlement increases the fluorine concentration of 100 liters by 0.2 mg/L.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Fluorine is toxic at high doses and may cause corals to expel their zooxanthellae. It can also irreversibly inhibit photosynthetic enzymes. Do not overdose, and ensure through regular testing that fluorine levels remain within a safe and appropriate range.
