Marine-spec base cabinet MAX NANOs are available with an optional marine-spec cabinet with weatherproof, epoxy-coated doors, convenient push openers and soft-close stainless steel hinges. MAX NANO cabinets are offered with black or white exteriors
Characteristics
The surface extractor provides high efficiency filtration by ensuring that only water from the aquarium surface is directed into the rear filter compartment. The surface extractor is easily removable for periodic cleaning.
The MAX NANOs feature a built-in power center with conveniently located on/off switches for the skimmer and circulating pumps, allowing easy access for feeding and maintenance.
The MAX NANOs contain Red Sea's ReefLED 50 light, which has a light intensity and spectrum that is 100% utilized by corals to ensure optimal coral growth and coloration. In addition, the ReefLED 50 has a moonlight channel to provide a low light level for reef-safe night vision.
An automatic refill unit with a 1.5 liter fresh water reservoir (hidden behind the strainer above the technical basin) ensures a constant water level and is sufficient for about 3 days of evaporation.
The rotating bezel allows easy access to the rear technical compartment while ensuring that the aquarium's aesthetics remain unclouded.
MAX NANO aquariums have a rimless design and are made of 8 mm thick ultra-clear glass that provides an excellent viewing experience.
The 225-micron filter sock removes large waste particles from the water.
The heart of the filter system is Red Sea's NANO protein skimmer, which efficiently removes organic waste from the water.
Filtered water returns to the display tank via a multi-directional, adjustable augap field nozzle, ensuring that there are no stagnant spots in the aquarium.

MAX NANO Protein Skimmer The rear tech compartment, fed by a unique surface skimmer that directs water to a custom micron filter sock, houses a REEF-SPEC silenced protein skimmer, a 950 lph/240 gph Sicce recirculation pump, and 100 g REEF-SPEC activated carbon to keep the water crystal clear. The protein skimmer is the heart of the filtration system. The NANO skimmer implements Red Sea's REEF-SPEC criteria for SPS corals and passes the entire volume of aquarium water through the skimmer approximately three times per hour and with a water-to-air ratio of 3 to 1.
