Ingeniously simple dosing Simply place BACTO REEF BALLS in the filter every 2-3 weeks. Due to our polymer matrix, which is stable in seawater, the bacteria are added to the aquarium slowly and in a controlled manner. Daily dosing and unwanted dosing peaks are thus avoided.
Special composition The unique composition of the carrier material has been specially developed for use in seawater. Normal gel acts as an additional carbon source and therefore dissolves more quickly, making controlled release impossible.The composition of the bacteria was specifically developed for the needs of reef aquaristics and ensures a stable and species-rich bacteria culture. Excess bacteria serve as food for corals and protozoa or are skimmed off.
Natural and reef safe Bacto Reef Balls provide you with reef-safe saltwater bacteria (when used correctly and filtered through protein skimmers), which are released slowly and evenly into the water as soon as they are introduced into the aquarium, where they begin their work: breaking down nitrogen and phosphates.
For a healthy and natural aquarium environment BACTO REEF BALLS contain living bacteria that are perfectly protected in their gel casing and are provided for. After opening, store the tin tightly closed, in a dark and cool place. Use up the opened BACTO REEF BALLS within 6-9 months.
Dosage:
Apply 2 BACTO REEF BALLS / 100 litres every 2 weeks to a flow-through area of the filter, ideally in a filter bag or stocking.
For the first application, start with half the dosage
For aquariums without skimmer technology, quarter the dosage.
If necessary, the quantity can be doubled
