product description
Red Sea Seawater Refractometer
Precision seawater refractometer
The Red Sea seawater refractometer provides exceptional accuracy, which has been developed to determine the absolute salinity at a temperature of 25oC.
To eliminate measurement errors, the refractometer to 25 ° C was calibrated as space and water temperature affect the measurement result.
The special seawater calibration of the prism provides additional accuracy.
In addition to standard refractometers (NaCl calibration), deviations of up to 1.5 per mille (‰, ppt) occur in the measurement of sea water, which can affect coral growth and their coloring.
Key Features:
Immediate reading of absolute salinity of sea water at 25 ° C (No compensation factors for seawater or temperature required)
Specially tailored to the ion content of the seawater and developed for the precise measurement of salinity.
(Most standard refractometer only with a standard saline solution (NaCl) calibrated)
Sea water calibration at 25 ° C (normal temperature for saltwater aquariums. Most standard refractometers are calibrated at 15 ° C)
Easy to use through easy-to-read, high-resolution display with the key for seawater measuring range up to 40 parts per thousand (‰, ppt).
Easy calibration with reverse osmosis water.
Does an automatic temperature compensation (ATC) for accurate results regardless of the room temperature.
