Heteractis crispa is a species of anemone from the coral reefs of the Indo-Pacific and the Red Sea. Due to the leathery skin of their foot, they are also called leather anemone. In English it is also called Sebae anemone. It reaches sizes of 20-50 cm and keeps well in aquariums, making it a very popular species as a symbiotic anemone for clownfish. It likes hard substrates covered with a thin layer of sand. It is virtually a generalist among symbiosis anemones, in nature it lives with 15 different species of anemonefish. In the Red Sea, for unknown reasons, it almost never hosts adult fish, but mostly juveniles, while populations in the western Pacific are also inhabited by adult anemonefish. The dominant coloration is white to beige with blue or purple tips, rarely animals with green tips or naturally yellowish are seen
