product description

Gilbers/Reef Analytics Water Test Phosphate (PO4)

After a long development period of six months, the new water test for phosphate (PO 4) is finished.
The test has been completely revised and updated with new content.

  • Designed in accordance with ISO 6878: 2004; German version EN ISO 6878: 2004 (Methods refinement throughout)
  • Constant quality controls
  • Support e-mail, phone or visiting our laboratory
  • Cheap replenishment chemicals and spare parts

This text has been developed by us with the utmost care and placed on a very high accuracy and reproducibility value.

Analysis range: 0.000 to 1.00 mg / l in the gradations

0,00 - 0,025 - 0,050 - 0,075 - 0,10 - 0,15 - 0,20 - 0,30 - 0,50 - 1,00  mg/l

The test kit consists of:

  • comparator
  • Dropper bottle reagent 1
  • Bottle measuring spoon reagent 2 (powder)
  • 20 ml syringe to the tube containing the test water
  • 2 glass reaction tubes with graduations (NEW)
  • Enhanced analysis area (NEW)
  • Completely newly revised color chart with better readability in the lower area (NEW)
  • Operating instructions in text form (NEW)
  • New high-quality plastic packaging box (NEW)

The phosphate content can be determined in the following waters:

  • seawater

Some important rules for error free analyzes:

  • Only water without intrinsic color and suspended solids / turbidity can be properly analyzed (for example, syringe filters use)
  • best readout results are achieved at low concentrations under daylight.
  • sunlight that us too bright can affect the result in low concentrations (to radiation). Test or search a good reading position in the room with different light sources.
  • Always use clean measuring utensils (carry risk)
  • Always carefully measure the sample volumes
  • Store Chemicals in a cool and dry place (refrigerator - Warning likelihood of confusion)
  • Take your time for the analysis
  • Dpn't analyze with "tired" eyes
  • Practice with a test kit in advance; best with standard solutions (references)
  • In uncertain analysis results do double or triplicate samples.
  • Compare the analysis result with the "life" in the Aquarium and don't always trust the test blindly (crosscheck)
